Last December, we provided 93 healthy breakfast to our local homeless people. Our homeless breakfasts are held every Wednesday from 7:30am - 9:00am from the Fletcher Street room. 💕

In 2017, over 500 vulnerable community member accessed out Homeless Showers. This project provides a safe environment where people experiencing homelessness can access hot showers, laundry facilities, toiletries, clothes, service information, and general support from trained volunteers who staff the showers.

The Byron Community Showers Project is provided by the BCC in collaboration with the Byron Shire Council. The project offers a supervised and safe environment where people experiencing homelessness can access hot showers, laundry facilities, toiletries, clothes, weekly haircuts, service information, and general support from trained volunteers, and trained community service workers. The showers project runs Monday and Wednesday between 10am to 12pm and is supervised by at least 2 trained BCC volunteers/workers. People are able to sign up to have a shower at Liberation Larder (on Monday) and the Homeless Breakfast (on Wednesday) from 8am at the BCC.
